The goal of the Salado Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering . . . on the Chisholm Trail, is to bring together a group of poets and musicians who are doing their part to preserve the culture and heritage of the American West.

Salado Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering

This gathering will give these performers an opportunity to share their talent. These men and women are now, or have been in the past, a part of the working cowboy environment. This is the first year that Salado is presenting the Salado Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering, and we hope to make it the best in the country by offering the true “working cowboy” culture and heritage.
