Tucker won the hearts of millions of television viewers during Season 4 of NBC TV’s hit music reality show, “The Voice.” In 2013, she rose to the Top 6 out of 40,000 people who auditioned. Tucker, who was on Blake Shelton’s team, was one of only a few contestants to receive a “4-chair-turn.”
Shelton said Tucker has “most effortless, accurate, and powerful voice” he’s ever heard.
Often called the “Angel of Texas Country Music,” Tucker, 25, is the Texas Country Music Association’s reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, two years running. She has won several other awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year for her hit song, “You’re In Texas,” and Album of the Year for “Steel.”
From her time on The Voice, Tucker has played at more than 600 venues in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, California and Louisiana, often headlining but also sharing the stage with popular artists, including Shenandoah, Terri Clark, Tracy Byrd, Willie Nelson, Restless Heart, Linda Davis, Clint Black, Curtis Grimes, Sundance Head, Deryl Dodd, Sam Riggs, Deana Carter, Parker McCollum, Koe Wetzel and Hudson Moore.
Tucker plans on releasing a new album in early February – just in time for the 2019 Day For Women.
Off-stage and outside the studio, Tucker is involved in several charitable organizations. In 2017, after Hurricane Harvey swept through Texas leaving Houston and nearby coastal cities and towns in ruins, Tucker launched the “Martin Goes To Harvey” Campaign,” collecting fellow artists’ signatures on a Martin guitar, which she auctioned, raising thousands of dollars for hurricane relief efforts.
Tucker also makes regular visits to area hospitals and schools inspiring children with her music, values, and personal story.
In addition to the luncheon, the Day for Women will feature product samples, door prizes and shopping at dozens of local businesses.
