Tablerock’s 27th Annual
Central Texas Poetry and Prose Readings
Thom the World Poet will host the 27th Annual Central Texas Poetry and Prose Readings at Tablerock Amphitheater in Salado.
Admission is $10.00 per adult, and $1.00 each for children 12 years and younger. The Readings will take place outside in the Amphitheater. In case of rain the readings will be moved inside to the large room behind the Tablerock stage. Masks and social gathering etiquette is required at your discretion. Seating is limited to 400.
The schedule for the evening is:
5:00pm – Refreshments and Social Time.
5:30pm - The introduction and readings from Honored Guests: Patsy Stanford Wilson the Salado Poet Laureate, and introduction and reading of long time Poetry Sponsors, Richard Egg and his wife, Linda Egg.
6:00pm - Introductions by Darrell Street, fifteen years on the Salado ISD School Board, and Readings from The Beacon by young honored guest poets gathering seed money to produce their 2nd anthology. Plus, a word of encouragement to the Young Poets from their talented English and Poetry teacher, Mrs. Terri Seaton.
7:00pm - Invited Guests giving 3 minute readings, each, from their new works in the 13th Annual Animal Tales anthology of 2021 will be: Sandi Horton from Waco, Thom Woodruff from Austin, Nancy Fierstien from Dripping Springs, Barbara Sorge from Belton, Phillip Abbott from San Antonio, and Donna Bowling from Temple. Open mic readings will be encouraged after invited guests share their works.
Animal Tales and The Salado Beacon will be on sale. You are invited to enjoy Social Time and more refreshments at the Tablerock concession stand after the readings.
