Tora! Tora! Tora!

TORA TORA TORA is a re-creation of the December 7th 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. It's accomplished through hundreds of dedicated volunteers -- most belonging to the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) working as ground crew, maintenance, pilots and pyrotechnic experts. The purpose is to create a dynamic history lesson about the event that propelled us into World War II ... and entertain.

Twisted Texan

Pilot Aaron Taylor will bring the sights, the sounds and the thrill of this legendary AT-6 Texan to the Central Texas Airshow. He will provide a crowd pleasing display of the aerobatic capability of the T-6 and perform all of the aerobatic maneuvers that would have been required of an advanced air cadet in the US Army Air Force of the 1940’s. There will be lots of smoke ‘n noise with the solo aerobatic act called…Twisted Texan!!!!

Matt Younkin

Matt has one of the most unique solo aerobatics acts flying today. He will amaze spectators with dramatic maneuvers his Twin Beech 18 was never designed for, but which Matt executes with impressive precision and control. With its distinctive black and red paint scheme, the roar of its twin radical engine, and striking silhouette, the sight and sound of Matt's Twin Beech is unforgettable.

And for the Friday evening night show, there is an extra treat, when Matt takes to the air to reveal that his Twin Beech is a riot of lighting: 17 spotlights and 13 strobes! Not only will you see his astonishing aerobatic maneuvers, but you will also see his aircraft lit up in the night sky like no airplane you have ever seen. It’s a show you will never forget, and look forward to seeing again. No one who sees this act forgets it! As Matt’s father Bobby always said,“ An air show act has to be unique & original to be great!” This one certainly is.

Airshow to honor Dan Buchananan

Dan Buchanan performed in 2018 a spectacular night show. We lost Dan Buchanan to the heavenly skies last year lest then a month after his awesome performance, The Central Texas Airshow is dedicating our 2019 Night Show in his name....You will be missed my friend.

Devil Dog PBJ-1J

On display she is silent and dark blue, a fierce Marine Corps bulldog on each side and even after 74 years she is mammoth and menacing. But when her two Wright Cyclone 1700HP radial engines roar to life, the Devil Dog, a WWII B-25 Bomber is deafening and ready for action.

Paul Fiala

Like a burst of sunrays reaching out toward the earth, a brilliant yellow & orange custom-built aerobatic bi-plane maneuvers passionately overhead as an enthusiastic audience watches in expectation for this veteran performer's next move at the Central Texas Air Show. Classic twists and turns combined with climbs that die at their peak then seemingly fall uncontrollable are all part of the joy of aerobatic flight for Paul Fiala. The Great Lakes bi-plane he performs in is reminiscent of the old barnstorming days.

ReMax Skydiving Team

The RE/MAX Skydiving Team, famous for its exciting entrances into football stadiums, NASCAR races, festivals, and other events all across North America will wow the Central Texas Airshow crowd.

Blastards Airshow Pryrotecnics

The Blastards are a unit of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF), with headquarters in Midland, Texas. The Blastards work with airshows throughout the United States in performing pyrotechnic displays to create a more realistic airshow. You will experience first hand the noise and excitement of simulated ground explosions and special effect pyrotechnics. These well-timed and highly choreographed demonstrations are performed by dedicated team members who volunteer their time and efforts to help bring you bone rattling reenactments true to our Nation's history.
