Event Details

Salado Legends, Central Texas' favorite outdoor historical musical drama, will be performed July 22, 29 and August 5, at Tablerock's Goodnight Amphitheater.

Salado Legends, is the must see play written by Saladoan Jackie Mills and chosen by the Library of Congress to serve as a record of American life in the mid 1800's. It's the story of Scottish settlers, Tonkawa Indians and Spanish explorers as they cross paths in the heart of Texas.

Indian legends, frontier life and war are interwoven throughout the play along with a touching love story, delightful music and dance. History truly comes to life as we watch the McDougal family navigate their changing world as the Civil War gets underway, the love interest between the young students at Salado College unfold and the Tonkawa Indian legend of Sirena is told in vivid detail. It's all the action you expect from an iconic frontier story.

Arrive early and bring your appetite! Rossler's Blue Cord BBQ is in the house with chopped beef sandwiches, sausage wraps and brisket nachos on the menu. All the usual concessions you love are stocked and ready.

Join us as we celebrate our 30th performance; gates open at 7:15pm, show at 8:15pm.
